Agtel is an award-winning TV and digital video production company and has been in business for over 30 years. We are recognised for the creativity and quality of its work for RTÉ and the BBC and are market leaders in high quality videos that deliver results on-line for clients in the public and private sectors.
We produces creative videos both in Ireland and across Europe, and many of these productions incorporate a drama element to increase engagement with the target audience.

Company Structure
The Agtel Group comprises Agtel and Independent Pictures Ltd. Within the Agtel Group, non-broadcast work is carried out under the trading name "Agtel" and broadcast work is carried-out by "Independent Pictures". Both production arms are co-located in Dublin city centre at 22 Fitzwilliam Street Upper, under common management, ownership and shared facilities and resources. The common legal entity is Independent Pictures Ltd.

They direct, coach and guide the Agtel team to ensure all clients benefit from outstanding levels of service, creativity and commitment.
John Cummins
John is the daddy of the species. He dreamed up Agtel in 1979 (that was in the last millenium) and is still our passionate MD. He keeps telling us, the technology may change, but the communications basics never change, tell a good story, engage people personally, and make great images talk.
He just wont go away, his latest thing is Twitter.
Liam Lavelle
Like a walking Wikipedia, what Liam doesn't know about, he can convincingly spoof. One of the most prolific producers of his generation, he is equally familiar with filming in a classroom or a crane, a FAB plant or a farm.
Specialising in fast paced factual programming, Liam knows how to attract and keep an audience, and how to make best use of a budget.

Diarmaid Mac Mathúna
If Diarmaid didn’t do what he does for Agtel he’d be in demand from the chief scientists at NASA. Attention to detail does not fully compliment his meticulous approach to projects. This care and dedication sees Diarmaid flourish in the areas of adult education, technology and science communications. His portfolio of experience crosses all genres and platforms and he has the safest pair of hands in the business.
Alan Dargan
Alan wasn’t born, he was downloaded. Although he is fully made of flesh you can’t deny there is digital code running through his veins. Alan is a skilled magician in all of the technical elements of production. His knowledge of digital and online media is second to none and he is the lynchpin in Agtel between the real world and cyberspace.
